Her Wonderland

Woman, Daughter, Sister, Friend & Lover.
In the real world, I'm a postgrad lit student (and a Literature teacher) with a passion for feminisms and postcolonial literature. In the world in my head, I still believe in fairies and obstinately cling to the belief that people are born inherently good.

Currently thrilled about building her Post-Exam To-Do List.

Post-Exam List May 2008.

I realise that instead of thinking about exams, I’ve been thinking of all the wonderful things I can do after the exams. So I decided to make a list and make sure I do all of it in my three months. I have to!! It would be my most free three-months ever. Because after this, there would be work and commitments and all the terrible things that I shall try not to think about. So here goes my Post-Exam List! I will be adding to it as and when something hits me!

  1. Find a job/assignment.
  2. Donate blood (this is something that I’ve wanted to do for the longest, longest time, but I never got down to doing. the last time I attempted this was in Junior College. But the doctor took my blood pressure readings and said that if he took blood from me at that moment, I would pass out. so this time, I am so getting some blood drawn. Even though the mere thought of this scares me quite a bit.)
  3. Cut/Colour my hair. (Maybe get a new hairstyle. I’ve been stuck with one for way too long.)
  4. Overseas trip/s with friends!
  5. Catch up with my close friends- I haven’t seen some of them in ages.
  6. Carry out the Camera Bench project.
  7. Finish the film in my dad’s 20 yr old SLR camera and develop them.
  8. Make a minizine with the lover.
  9. Go narcissistic and make a minizine about myself. :) (Nothing long. Maybe 10 pages. Each page a quarter of an A4.)
  10. Plan & conceptualize a short film with the lover. (I’m really looking forward to this.)
  11. Photography session, again with the lover. (oh, and this one too :))
  12. Cheer on the lover at his mini-directorial and playwright debut! (Edit: He won best newcomer director, by the way!) :))) Happiness.
  13. Catch Radio & Juliet. (must, must, must!)
  14. Take photos of my primary school. (been feeling very nostalgic lately).
  15. Seriously consider relaunching my handmade jewellery.
